HOBART MEGA-ARC PIPELINER 300G gasoline powered welder. 400 amp DC output. 300 Amps at 100% Duty Cycle. Stick, TIG and Arc-Gouging capabilities. Very Heavy Duty rig. Powered by 140 Cubic Inch (2.3L), overhead cam, liquid cooled Ford Industrial Engine--kinda the Ford version of the GM Iron Duke--but with an overhead cam for more efficiency and less moving parts.
Adjustable arc force for extremely smooth welding. Heavy Duty, all copper wound generator end and all cast iron engine for durability. Will weld circles around Lincolns and Millers. Runs 5/32 7024 "Jet Rod" all day long. Two 115 volt A.C. outlets provide up to 3000 watts of auxiliary power for grinder, drill, lights, etc.
Only has 638 hours on the unit!! Measures 28" W, 62" long, and 40" tall excluding the muffler. 18-gallon, internal fuel tank.
Idle down control works perfect. Has freshly rebuilt carburetor, new oil and filter change, fresh coolant, new muffler, new belts, new battery, new air filter and fresh paint job. No smoke and no leaks. Come and burn a rod to try it out before buying.
Turning only 1800 RPM, the Overhead cam, liquid cooled engine is much more efficient and durable than the air cooled ones on most new welders. The Kohlers, Onans, Briggs, Hondas and etc. all run at 3600 rpm in order to make enough power. They also warn you not to run them any faster unless you want to see them explode because 3600 rpm is near the limit of what they can stand. This Ford Industrial could safely run at 5000 RPM without self-destructing. 1800 rpm is little more than a fast idle. Much quieter operating than an air-cooled engine.
I also have a new (less than 15 hours on it) Miller Bobcat 225 for sale, for $2750.
